The show is a tribute to Chase's father Todd Chrisley, a millionaire and the 'patriarch who is perfect', and his family. Chase's reputation of being an irritant keeps his father watching over him. This makes the family dynamic more entertaining for viewers. Chase creates trouble almost every single time. Chase often coaxes his father to put him in trouble. In an ongoing effort to get his dad to be more savvy, Chase often gets his sister Savannah as his partner in the crime. It can be said that Chase is their most loved character, closely followed by Savannah. However, they could each get their own show. Todd Chrisley stated in an interview that a brand new show titled Growing Up Chrisley will follow Chase and Savannah as they start college. For a while, Chase also had a podcast called "The Chase Christy Podcast'.
