With her personal highlights so this year, such as being hand-picked by Snoop Dogg to accompany him onstage at the YouTube Brandcast in May 2013 Niykee is able to maintain her songwriting regimen despite the ups and downs of the past few years. Then I get an idea of the song and write it right away. I get the words while I'm sitting on my porch, playing my guitar. Most of the time, it's less than thirty minutes. Even when she's not writing about the things which have actually happened every ache through her childhood and losing her younger sister finds its way into the music.
